New page

[[UbiquitousPublicTransportation]] is the dream, [[NewJersey]] Transit is the reality.

People are really upset, me too. They added new equipment connected the Boonton and Monclair train lines and created a disaster.

* not enough service
* late/slow trains, not enough express trains
* complex schedule, confusion chaos
* poor staff knowledge and customer information
* wrong train signs and announcements
* broken doors and seats that stay broke for years
* unreadable ticket printers that are never fixed
* public announcement systems that are inaudible and rarely used when there are changes and delays. When used and audiable, the announcements are usually inaccurate.
* too expensive

I do thank God for NJTransit. It is better than nothing. But it is time [[NewJersey]] makes a commitment to the transportation for the future.

Time for my train........when/if it shows up.......
----
The just added new equipment, the passenger cars are 50% heavier and then engines are 25% lighter. The new trains can't make it up hill if there are leafs on the track.

They should add more self powered cars for local trains, and run more express trains instead of running long trains, empty for much of the trip, stopping at every stop, taking forever....
