Strangely enough, this is often referred to as the [[UsAndThem]] mentality here at [[WikiWorld]].&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Us Versus Them is a common way of a minority group of the [[WE]] to band together to better strive against views that disagree or are in opposition to the &amp;quot;Us&amp;quot;. Found to be an extremely common behavioral mechanism in any perceived confrontational setting. It tends to be very binary in outlook, as you are either with Us (ie a part of the solution), or you are with Them (ie a part of the problem).&lt;br /&gt;

It would seem illogical to think that competition can be separated from conflict.&lt;br /&gt;
Perhaps more important than wishing away conflict is agreeing on ground rules.&lt;br /&gt;
