Imported current content

New page

Every Wiki page must have an authorship lineage.

The page orginator for a time must be the primary author.

This can change if less than 50% of the original page remains.

The primary authour is consulted.

Each Wiki link has a owner, the primary author of that page title.

They are consulted in turn. Purely for the removal of a link.
----
I don't get it? This seems anti-wiki. Email notifications of page modifications would be a nice features, but if you dont like a chage someone make you just change it back (edit old version, copy and paste into new edit).

-----
This is not an automatic machine feature here. It is a human communication issue. In order to proceed I feel courtesy needs to be employed to allow reasonable edits to be made.

The [[AnewGoErasureAct]] is for edits the user feels will be non-contentious, or has a lot of backup if it is.

The [[AnewGoMajorEditAct]] is for negotiated Edits, and therefore the page lineage needs some attention.

True wiki would imply this is unecessary, but eventually pages will be modified that i may not see for months or even years.

This may be able to be automated in the future.

----
This is two different concerns (ideas) battling here.

In Wiki, it doesn't matter WHO authored the page. Anyone can add, modify, or delete on that page. There is some courtesy extended (people do not do complete refactoring on other people's home pages), but still...

In [[AnewGo]], [[AnewGo]] is concerned that serious [[AnewGo]] pages are not editted beyond their original intent/meaning, and therefore show a bunch of [[AnewGoCitizens]] signing up for 'The Protection of the Amazon Rain Forest' have it changed to state: We think: [[BushIsAnIdiot]]!

Now, here at [[WikiWorld]], we always have a tag as to who did what to a page, but... as we work on the Honor system for logins, there is no guarantee that it really was [[StarPilot]] that made that change/edit, even though the tag says [[StarPilot]].

It is a simple conflict between ease of use and confidentiality, versus the need for hard ownership and audit trails. ---[[StarPilot]]

----
(Note: This page was part of an old conversation concerning [[AnewGo]] processes.)
