Anyone know some good software to support this?
What? Tracking numbers? Think about it. There's plenty. What do you have handy? At this point, any small database would do just fine. Even spreadsheets would do at the current size.
A Database intergrated with a TikiWiki would be fine, so accounts are generated with a citizen login.
Can you do this? (I am not a software professional)
Software.... a way we could do it is have people send the informationthrough an e-mail account, and then record the transactions in an Excel type program? This is difficult, but a way.
Easier to record the transactions in a database, and export/view the results in an Excel spreadsheet. Many database systems include an email scanner that can take commands via email. Trivial to implement. Just costs some money to have a home for the database and whatever else you need for hardware.
'So your going to pay for a database, StarPilot?'
Why? there are good free databases out there. The server and bandwidth are the real issue. Going to be Anewgo.org, isn't it?
We can use public domain database for now since we have not budget yet in internationally accepted currency.
We can use the PubWan database for now (mysql). I like SQLLedger but it would be hard to integrate with tikiwiki, it uses Postgress. Simple tables on PubWan should suffice until we have a clear idea of our requirements. -- JimScarver
Sounds very cool. I suggest we may experiment in public accounts which may prevent excessive accumulation which occurs with private accounts.
The primary goal of PubWan is the enlargement of the public domain. Normally privacy enhancement is a desired feature of banking accounts. Is AnewGoBank an exception? The PubWan database at XanthusInc, of course, may operate according to a different set of principles and priorities. --LorraineLee aka MotherOfPubwan
I'm not exactly sure at this moment the 'purpose' of AnewGoBank. It seems only to be a ledger of everything PhillpBannigan has done to further AnewGo. Can you elaborate on the purpose, please? --KenSchry
