EightYearOld

I am a confused child, a creature of impulse, and a bundle of emotions. I am selfish, unreliable and ignorant. I can not take care of myself. I need attention to survive. I'm maladapted, jealous and prideful. I have an unreasonably high esteem for my own understanding of things, and am always condescending.

I like myself, and I like being me. You should like me, too. My flaws are plain. The lengths to which I will go to generate your interest are nearly limitless. I will hide my jealousy and veil my pride with generous self-deprecation. My condescension comes with a healthy dose of feigned humility to make you feel better about yourself. I'm a goofball, a ham, a sap and a crybaby. I am, and will always be, an EightYearOld. How about you?

Also, in the same way that an EightYearOld might be, you have the ability to make someone feel like they are the brightest star in the sky. You are charming, sometimes in the way that only a child can be. You are royal in the way that only a WhiteScarver can be.

I never really acted like an EightYearOld (that I can remember) until I was in College. My home growing up didn't appreciate, or even recognize EightYearOld -like behavior. When Greg was a kid, he rarely if ever acted like an EightYearOld. I think we've found that the rest of the world is a better, more interested and appreciative audience for EightYearOld behavior.
