Loss of our son Tom

We had our Holiday family vacation at Adam's house in Jenson Beach FL Thanksgiving week. Phyllis, Tom and I were on our way to Orlando to pick up a one-way rental to drive back to VA. When we discovered a glitch in the reservation, Tom flew Phyl and I home Saturday night and said he would follow on Wednesday. He stayed with friends in Osteen that night and again on Sunday. He never woke up on Monday morning. Tom apparently had a seriously critical coronary condition and died in his sleep. We are waiting for a full report.

As sad as we are to loose him, we are thankful for the blessing of the last two years that he spent living with us here in Gainesville. His daily goal was to make Phyllis laugh, and he never failed. We had a second chance for a relationship with our son. We called ourselves the FUN TEAM. Thanksgiving vacation was a blast. http://www.whitescarver.com/gallery/VACA1108

There was a brief viewing on Saturday in Florida for his friends and our old church family. All announcing was word of mouth and FaceBook/MySpace. People came out of the woodwork. It was awesome.

Tommy had an impressive following of friends and business acquaintances here in Virginia. We had a party for Tom here on February 7th. It was wonderful.

Our family is recovering slowly but surely as we get used to not having him around.
