Kuehne Chemical Company

The PH Doremus Chemical Company division of the Chloramone Corporation was a liquid chlorine and water treatment chemical distributor with sales and fleet operations in North Arlington N.J. and packaging/production operations in joint venture with Marzahl/Kuehne Chemical in Kearny N.J. Packaging and Fleet operations were also conducted at Chloramone in joint venture with Diamond Shamrock Corporation in Delaware City De. Chloramone Corporate offices were in Allentown Pa. Operations extended in seven states from Virginia to Connecticut. A majority of sales and marketing activity was in bidding on municipal, state and federal contracts with limited commercial applications. The core products were liquid chlorine in cylinders and ton containers, sodium hydroxide and hydrogen peroxide by tank trailer and third party bagged/drummed chemicals. Kuehne Chemical is the current surviving business entity.
