AnewGoConflictOfInterest

From WikiWorld

This is an interesting case, one which we may decide needs to be brought in front of the AnewGoCourt. Is it considered ethical for you to vote yourself in for a position? Certainly, it's saying "Yes, I want the job.", but the competitiors for that position may say that you have given yourself an unfair edge. Hmm.....

Debate it here with a link to AnewGoCongress.

I believe voting for Ones Self will need to be outlawed, as it is a corrupting force. The candidates position can be clearly stated in the "I accept" statement.

If you are applying for the position, that is saying in itself a vote of confidence. Wy not vote for yourself? Most of our decisions aren't really cutthroat, so voting for yourself isn't so bad. --KenSchry

That maybe the case, but some citizens behave as if there is a "great need" to maintain the use of deadly force to protect this fledgling nation (how we can do this without being noticed by geographical states, and possibly breaking terrorist control laws, they haven't discussed), and that the governing principals need to be right or they may cause a BIG problem later. I think it is fine to use the format suggested, this way we can still get the idea accross. Acceptance means you think you are capable and willing to to the job and never can be accused of casting a deciding vote.

I agree with KenSchry. First off, since AnewGo is using the system of, if you want an empty position, just take it. That right there is 1) nominating yourself, 2) voting for yourself, and 3) accepting the postion until the ConsensusByDefault impeaches you (fires you? Puts forth a candidate with more public support/trust/confidence to do that position?).

Most of these nominations so far have been other people nominating someone else to do that job, after all. ---StarPilot
