There are 2 commandments in the new Law.
- Love God with all thy heart and all thy mind.
- Love one another as God loves us.
From that spings all the Law of all of the Profits.
God speaks to us in many ways. The bible is one of them. It is good as it can be trusted to include Truth. But God speaks to us in parables and Truth is NOT absolute. Sentences, by nature have many meanings depending on logical context. Even the bible cannot be taken literally as it has no specific literal interpretation. God is known by his fruit, not just by one book in particular.
I am a follower of Jesus, Bhuddist and Jew, etc., not a follower of some book of scripture assembled by commitee. I am not a seeker of salvation as I have found it without seeking it. It is blessing that invariably comes with the search for Truth.
