If you have 1:10,000 chance of being involved in a deadly accident travelling to and from work, if you worked for an infinite time, you'd eventually be involved in a deadly accident, wouldn't you? But since you only worked in that location for a 1000 days, you have 90% odds of not being involved in a deadly accident. Or am I playing number games with myself again?

Who is 'WE'?

'We are seeking to become WE, our CollectiveIntelligence, rather than our lowest common denominator.  We (everybody) have the power now, WE are seeking to ursurp that power.'

No... When we like the results, we call it good. When something is the opposite, something we do not like, we call it bad or evil. We are truly to short sighted to know ultimately what works out the best for ourselves, those we love and care about, our local communities, etc etc etc. Which is Good? Killing all the Jews in Isreal, destroying the nation, or establishing a Palenstine State? If there was no Isreal, there would still be violence in the Middle East. Neither will the creation of a Palenstine State lead to peace in the Middle East. The extremist will continue to wage their war against Isreal.

So long as there are two human minds in existance, there will be disagreement between human vies. So long as one of those minds believes strong enough in its own mental universe to cause harm to others who disagree with it, harm will be committed. So what options does that leave in how to reach a 'Good' state? Meld all brains into one, as depicted in certain Science Fiction material? Even hive minded/organized species war on each other where resources are not unlimited. And resources will never be unlimited, unless you buy into the huge pipe dream of NanoTechnology being used for the bettermint of All Of Mankind. (Ha==== It will be used to maximize profit and crush all that interfere with the maximization of profit, because it will be the Large Corporations who will own and control it, forever.)

This is the truth and reality of the HumanAnimal. Insult its petty ego, and it is liable to never forgive you, and would rather waste more energy in fighting with you, until it's ego is salved, then go the path of least resistance and simply do nothing. Add in anything of value, whether a mental construct (such as money), illusional (noone else perceived it to have value, such as a particular parking spot in an underutilized shared lot), or real (food, shelter, other survival tools).

I'll continue to participate here, in the hopes of bringing up our future lowest common denominator. Evil is whatever the SocietalLeadDogs decides is counter to 1) the continuation of their own power, 2) the destruction of their power base (which is generally the society the SocietalLeadDog leads).

This is indeed the most peaceful and cooperative way to live. However, this will only work so long as we never have to compete for resources to survive. Should we have to compete for survival, or in 'one' of our perceptions, it is a resource necessary to our individual survival, then it will be War. Again, this is part of the base of the HumanAnimal.
