TailoredTours.com is a web site launched in December, 2006 by a married couple from Bronx, New York. The site sells self-guided sightseeing tours that are delivered as PDF (Portable Document Format) file email attachments. Users can print the tours out or upload them to a mobile device. Each tour includes a route map and two or three pages of sight descriptions, photos and restaurant recommendations. The site's itineraries are tailored to specific interests and activities, with categories including Bachelor & Bachelorette Parties, "First Visit," "For Kids," "Locals' Favorites," Nightlife, Parks, "The Perfect Date," Pub Crawls, Scavenger Hunts, Shopping, and "Scene in New York" film and TV location tours. As of March 2007, the site offered tours only for New York City, but in media interviews, the owners have stated that they will expand to other cities in the summer of 2007.
