No one gets a vote unless they pay for it. A vote costs, say, 10% of the average person's liquid assets. And you can buy as many votes as you want.
Then wealthy people will pay money to the government to the extent that they intend to influence it. They'll be forced to figure out a tradeoff between hoarding their loot and contributing it to the common wealth.
Indeed, bidding wars for votes by wealthy individuals contending against each other will provide a far greater revenue base than taxes ever could.
What's more, the ability to influence the decisions of AnewGo will form a stable economic basis. No inflation; no deflation; just nice stable growth and a lot of foreign investment to buoy up new ventures.
And no special interests will be able to seize and hold the ear of the government. No bribery and no lobbying. All above board, fair and square.
Who said votes are being bought? You are looking at the corrupt side of politics, the generalization that people thing is a shadow world. Votes arre not always bought, some decent people vote for the best person. On the subject of voting, no lobbying, or anything like today's political campaigns. It is entirely ConsensusByDefault.
So, you want to bring the greed out front? And have HeWithTheMost be HeInCharge? That's the current system. Didn't the AnewGo state that the current system is broken and needs fixing?
I'm very confused. If it costs 10% of what the average Joe has (making that between 15 to 20% of what the average Jane has), why would they spend that to get a vote? A single Joe might, but a married one won't. He needs it for his family. And the average married Jane won't. You are taking out the women and the family vote. And giving all the votes to HeWithTheMost. Why would the average Joe bother wasting so much of his resources, when one FatCat buys 1000 votes? No point. That means the average Joe isn't participating. That means you've just signed the whole system over to the special interests and narrow interest of HeWithTheMost.
To get ConsensusByDefault, all must have equal weight. This leads directly to Tyranny of the Largest Minority |. But that's the common consensus of the society. And that sounds to me what AnewGo is all about.
