As you can see there is little sign of human habitation outside your town.

The place you camped was aslo supposed to be closed to campers to, that might e4xplain the lack of population...

Ah. But what does it look like at night? That's when human habitation is truly noticable from low earth orbit==== Remember, very few structures that we build is truly noticable from space. Some effects from human habitation, such as the dumping of our waste water into rivers, light pollution at night, etc, are easily observed from space. But not much else. ---StarPilot
