There is a stricter version articulated under the Geneva Convention.
Though under AnewGoLaw it will be completely illeagal to coduct war.
War is desructive to all the individuals involved. It is well documented that many indivduals do not, or find it extremely difficult to recover.
It is very destructive to the mental framework of the culture that perpertrates it. Suddenly large casualty numbers of the "enemy" are portrayed as "good".
This can have unknown terrible effects, consider what is now known about the interconnectedness of the world, and chaos theory (the butterfly effect).
Therefore in AnewGoLaw war is not tolerated.
-- Hypocrite. War is not tolerated under AnewGoLaw except where AnewGoCitizens feel it is ok. Liberating the masses, freeing the enslaved animals of the world, preventing harm to whatever they like, seizing the world's oil reserves, fighting for control of orbital nuclear weapons...
Afraid of the unknown. That isn't very bright either. That's being afraid of the future, of being afraid of change. Very retro attitude. If the world sucks and you really want to bring about a revolution to your preferred viewpoint, you shouldn't be afraid of change. That is what you want.
True it has been mentioned that there may be force needed to attain environmental and Human rights objectives. This I don't agree with. It has not been put to any test, and may need to be debated at a later date.
I think we are debating it now, here. I also don't agree with it. Maybe it should be removed. Any agreement with that?
The card game war is allowed, conflict is allowed, but armed aggression is not by one group against another is not.
Police action should also avoid leathal force when ever prossible. The distiction between war and police action is that those controled by police action have rights and representation within the political institution directing the police.
In order to successfully outlaw war, the world must insure that no one will benefit from conducting war. This will require a commitment and cooperation from all the major world powers.
How do get there?
When will War be necessary for AnewGo? If all AnewGoCitizens get along, there will be no CivilWar, are you talking about a PoliceForce to protect the country if it is invaded?
If AnewGoInternationalPolicy resloves NOT to recognise the Geneva Convention and NOT to have a military force, it will have occupied the highest moral ground on earth at present. Law and order are provided by the host states. AnewGo is purely an instrument of hopefully numbers of people to have their voice heard, through an alternative structure, in the arena of international affairs. This process may lead to a more peaceful world. I hope it can channel effectively the energy that resides in the NOWAR peace march movement.
As is pointed out by our AnewGoResident we are not totally immune to determined efforts to obstruct this aim. As is the position of all people at present, if Law and order breaks down in the host state, there is little AnewGo can do, but hopefully some measure of recourse is afforded to AnewGoCitizens in the knowledge that AnewGo continues to work for peaceful solutions along with the international community, and may take future court action against belligerants.
